I have never done any martial arts before. Do you have classes for beginners? Absolutely. Beginners come to us all the time. All our classes are designed to take an absolute beginner through to the highest levels. We all have to start somewhere. That is why MDMA fosters an attitude of respect to all students, whether you’re a beginner or advanced.
How fit do I need to be to do your classes? We teach people of all fitness levels. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you need to get fit before you start. You can go at your own pace. As you build your fitness we will encourage you to push yourself harder. As with any new form of exercise, please consult your doctor before starting your training with us.
Will I be safe participating in martial arts? Your safety is our no.1 priority. We operate a safe, professional, and friendly environment, free from bullying. We have a strict code of ethics which promotes respect and humility.
Can I come along and watch your classes before I decide to join? We operate a strict no-viewing policy, but you are welcome to come and participate in a class and see if you like it.
What clothing should I wear, and do I need to bring anything with me? We recommend wearing a T-Shirt with shorts or tracksuit bottoms. Please do not wear anything with zips as this can damage the mats. As you are likely to work up a sweat, bring a towel and another top to change into for your journey home.
I’d love to join but I don't have much time. Do you cater for people like me? We understand that in this day and age many people live very busy lives. That is why we offer a range of membership packages to suit your needs. You will be surprised what you can achieve from just one to two regular weekly sessions.
Where are your training centres located? Our Hull Training Centre is located on Scarborough Street just a minute from the A63 turn off for St Andrews Quay. We also have a satellite school in Brough where we teach just children’s classes.
